Mediation

Are you currently entangled in a conflict? Whether it’s with your partner, employer, or landlord. Do you find yourself in a stalemate, feeling as though you’re running in circles? The prospect of a legal battle may be looming, yet deep down, you sense that, no matter the outcome, it won’t bring you the contentment you truly seek.

Mediation offers a path to resolution. It is a structured process designed to facilitate conflict resolution. Unlike the courtroom, where parties state their positions and a judge hands down a decision, mediation allows all parties to voluntarily, independently, and openly explore solutions to their conflict. As emotions often run high and hidden issues surface, the guidance of a neutral and impartial mediator can be invaluable. As your mediator, I won’t make decisions for you, but I will empower you to comprehend each other’s underlying interests and needs. I follow the transformation approach, placing you as individuals at the forefront. I firmly believe that, by taking charge of your conflict and working through it, you can not only save time, energy, and the costs associated with drawn-out legal battles but also forge a sustainable, future-focused solution that brings contentment to all involved.

Dare to take that step. Explore new horizons and possibilities together.

Satisfaction for all parties

How does a mediation process work?

In general, a mediation process follows a structured approach. After preparation, introduction, and defining the scope of the mediation, the process typically includes the following steps:

  • Information and issue identification: Understanding the nature of the conflict and what it entails.
  • Clarification of underlying interests, concerns, and needs.
  • Creative idea generation and exploration of potential solutions.
  • Evaluation and selection of these solutions.
  • The finalization of a written or oral mediation agreement among the parties involved.

All of these steps are driven by you as the participants in the conflict. I, as the mediator, will guide and facilitate the communication. The solutions to your conflict will naturally emerge from your discussions. If desired, we can also schedule a follow-up meeting to assess whether and how the agreed-upon solutions have been implemented.

How long does a mediation typically last?

The duration of a mediation process can vary significantly depending on the complexity of the conflict and the number of parties involved. However, due to the structured nature of mediation, it has been found that in many cases, approximately 3 to 5 sessions held over a period of 2 to 3 months can be quite effective in achieving the desired outcomes.

In which areas of life is mediation useful?

Mediation is applicable to a wide range of conflicts, including:

  • Couple, marriage, and family disputes
  • Inheritance disputes, including preventive measures such as arrangements for the care of parents
  • School conflicts between parents and teachers
  • Rental disputes
  • Private construction matters
  • Business mediations
  • Workplace conflicts between employees and employers/bosses
How much does mediation cost?

Initially, the first session is free of charge. For subsequent sessions, the mediator charges an hourly fee, the amount of which is negotiable and is shared equally between the parties involved based on mutual agreement.
